We are looking for a Ranger Coordinator to lead the Kulumindini ranger group, working across the traditional lands of the Jingili and Mudbura people in the Northern Territory. This role is about supporting rangers to do important work like looking after land, managing fire, controlling weeds and feral animals, and protecting cultural sites. You will work closely with Traditional Owners to make sure work is done the right way.
About the Role:
Based in Elliott midway between Darwin and Alice this position reports to the Borroloola Barkly Regional Program Coordinator, this role is responsible for establishing and leading ranger operations on Country, delivering land management activities aligned to Traditional Owner priorities and approved work plans. You will supervise and mentor a team of rangers, coordinate day-to-day operational activities and ensure work is delivered safely, effectively and in line with organisational, contractual and work health and safety requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong field capability, cultural awareness and the ability to lead teams in remote environments.
What you will Bring:
You are an experienced land management professional with the ability to lead teams in remote environments and deliver practical, on-ground outcomes. You bring strong leadership capability, sound judgement and a commitment to working respectfully with Traditional Owners and communities. You are confident coordinating field activities, managing competing priorities and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
You are hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in remote conditions while supporting and developing ranger teams.
